who can enroll?

  • 18 years or older

  • BMI of 25 or higher (23 or higher if you're an Asian American person)

  • No previous diagnosis of type 1 or type 2 diabetes

  • Not currently pregnant

How is the program structured?

Based on the CDC’s PreventT2 curriculum and adapted specifically for postpartum, you will engage in 22 sessions led by certified lifestyle coaches who understand the challenges of adopting new habits.

  • >150 minutes of postpartum-safe physical activity per week

  • HbA1C reduction of 0.2% or greater

  • Stay healthy for you and your family

  • Reduce risk of developing type 2 diabetes

is the program virtual or in person?

We have two virtual options for you: self-paced online modules, available through Malama’s app, or live Zoom-based sessions with your health coach. You may access educational sessions and support in-app 24/7 and will be added to an exclusive peer-support group, making it easy to adopt healthy lifestyle changes from anywhere.
