Signs of gestational diabetes:

HOW WILL I FEEL IF MY BLOOD SUGAR IS HIGH?

Women with high blood sugar often do not feel any different than other pregnant women. Most of the time, gestational diabetes doesn't cause noticeable signs or symptoms.

Some signs of high blood sugar are:

  • Tiredness

  • Increased Thirst

  • Hunger

  • Weakness

  • Urinating more often

As you can see, these signs are very much like normal signs of pregnancy. Checking your blood sugar is the only way to know if your blood sugar is high. By keeping your blood sugar in a safe range you may feel you have more energy.

One of the most important things you will learn to do for yourself is to test your own blood sugar!
